[edit]History
Namiye Vonoro, born and raised in Gridania in a family of five. The middle of child of Adamina and Errol Vonoro, she has an older sister Aurelia and a younger brother Elfryn. Having grown up in the middle, she struggles to find her purpose and place in this world. Her older sister is a world class archer and member of the Gods' Quiver and her brother is a gifted leatherworker with Atelier Fen-Yl. Namiye has never been able to excel in one class and has instead tried all of them. While hoping to join the Wood Wailers some day, she still finds herself dabbling in other disciplines without ever taking the time to master her polearm.
After the fall of Ala Mhigo, her father Errol opened up an orphanage in Gridania for the children who lost parents in the battle, despite Adamina's distaste for the idea. Namiye spent most of her time at the orphanage making friends instead of honing her skills, furthering her mother's resentment. Three years later her parents split after a disagreement over adopting her brother Zaydel, a young highlander child from Ala Mhigo. Errol soon ventured out west with Zaydel and hadn’t been back to Gridania since, devastating Namiye. Her mother and older sister focused on their training and the events around Gridania, continuing as if nothing happened. Her younger brother felt abandoned and sought a station in Limsa Lominsa as a representative of Atelier Fen-Yl soon after her father left. With her family torn apart and unhappiness all around, Namiye was starting to view Gridania as a prison and yearned for the freedom of adventure. Two years after her father left, at the tender age of 16, with only a weathered spear and no guild or linkshell support, Namiye left the Black Shroud for Thanalan. She barely made it to her first camp before she was lost, but luckily she was saved by a Uldah native Tsuchi Takahashi. Since then, she has spent her time exploring, inevitably getting lost, learning every trade and discipline she can while taking time to visit her brother in Limsa Lominsa. But after 10 years and no sign of her father or adoptive brother Zaydel, it may be time to return home to Gridania…
